7th/8th Grade

Continue the work from Sixth Grade, emphasizing maximum touches with the ball

Nine-a-side scrimmages
We now see more of the finished article
Players have a better awareness of where on the field teammates are
Tactics such as 4-4-2, 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, 3-5-2 and even 3-4-3 can now be experimented
Tactical philosophy whether to play through the middle or the wings depending on the skill set available
Defending en masse, tracking back
Midfielders should know to fill the gaps while each having a unique responsibility, help the defenders, go up to support the forwards
Forwards should practice finishing ad nauseam
Practices should be 75 minutes
