1st Grade

Players in our 1st grade program will be trained by professional trainers assisted by parent-coaches this season. The goal is for our players to continue learning and understanding the game of soccer. Our parent-coaches will take the lead and run the games, using the knowledge they gained from our Coaches Clinics. We do our utmost best to group kids by the school they will be attending in the fall. Sometimes, this may not happen, since we need to keep the teams balanced by number of players.  
  • Shin guards must be worn at all times (underneath socks). 
  • Bracelets, necklaces and earrings are not allowed to be worn during games and practices. 
  • Soccer cleats, sneakers and turf shoes are all allowed. But baseball/softball cleats are not allowed. Metal or sharp cleats are also not allowed. 
  • For games, players must wear their Mahwah Soccer t-shirt (provided).
